A mountain painted in stripes of red, turquoise, gold, and lavender, hidden at 5,200 meters in the Andes of Cusco. Vinicunca's colors come from different minerals and stayed buried under ice until just a few years ago. Getting there is hard: the hike at that altitude leaves you breathless. But cresting the top and watching the seven-colored mountain stretch out in front of you, with the snowcaps behind, makes every step worth it.
